Vision and Mission

MED.E.A. aims to build and disseminate a platform of knowledge under a global perspective, investing more in education, in basic training and in life-long learning with a focus on the outlook for the future.

The Institution's digital technologies foster equality of opportunity and ensure social integration. It is by creating alternatives and feasible conditions of education, training, employment and social welfare that a fertile ground is ensured for dialogue and peace.

MED.E.A.'s main goals are:

  • to provide a competitive undergraduate and postgraduate education that offers a global perspective and is characterised by high-quality teaching and distinctive study programmes;

  • to enrich learning and working environments by providing a multilingual community that attracts and supports an international staff and student population;

  • to provide opportunities and resources that facilitate work / life balance.

MED.E.A. embraces the philosophy of Sustainable Development and its priority values are:

  • the development of the personal qualities of the students in order to achieve the maximum of their intellectual potential and an international character of higher education as a means of achievement and maintenance of high-quality standards;

  • the recruitment of international academic staff composed of lecturers from foreign universities and international academies;

  • the encouragement of students' initiatives and skills for self-learning, acquiring 'portable' knowledge, key competencies and re-skills.

In pursuing its mission, MED.E.A. adopts an educational model that places the STUDENT AT THE CENTRE OF INNOVATION, while combining the principles of LIFELONG LEARNING. MED.E.A.’S blended didactic methodology unites traditional didactic assets with the most innovative e-learning technology. .

To achieve these objectives, MED.E.A.’s mission revolves around four key terms:

1. INNOVATION: a transversal element across all the institution's activities, functional in proposing a constantly updated teaching model and training offer;

2. SUSTAINABILITY: the MED.E.A. model assumes the concepts of Environmental, Social and Governance sustainability as part of its institutional mission to contribute to the achievement of the United Nations 2030 Agenda Goals;

3. INCLUSION: MED.E.A. believes that research and knowledge are extraordinary tools of social cohesion, necessary to make individuals more aware and therefore giving more freedom of choice to combat gender inequalities and social or territorial inequalities;

4. SKILLS: the increasingly rapid changes the world is undergoing with the double digital and ecological transition urge MED.E.A. to identify new research paths and to offer new training tools for those attending undergraduatestudies for the first time or who wish to upgrade their skills.

In this way, MED.E.A. participates in the development of a model of sustainable learning based on the new productive and organisational models of Industry 5.0.
